Pastor Madden received a phone call at a pivotal time
in ministry. Pastor Burt simply told Pastor Madden, "You
are waiting on God, and God is waiting on you."
Pastor Madden called upon a few prayer warriors to begin
praying for the healing and restoration of God's people.
After three prayer meetings, God answered the prayers of
His people and the ministry's first service was held at
Mikal's Funeral Home in Atlantic City, New Jersey in
November 2002.
As God added to the ministry, services moved from Mikal's
Funeral Home to the Quality Inn of Atlantic City, and then
to the Comfort Inn in December 2002. Again, the people
remained faithful and on March 2, 2003, He blessed
Resurrection Ministries with a permanent location at 1322
S. Pacific Avenue in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Another stumbling block was placed in the path of the
ministry when Pastor Madden was removed from the presence
of the people. But, the people had a mind to continue to
uplift the name of Jesus. They remained "locked-in-love"
and by faith, the Word of God continued to go forth.
When God saw fit to return Pastor Madden to the fold,
Resurrection Ministries was set apart on May 23, 2004,
with a spirit-filled service under the anointing of Pastor
Chad Hinson from New Strength Gospel Church in Camden, New
Jersey.
Shortly after the Installation service, the ministries
beloved, Deaconess Barbara McLaughlin was called home to
be with the Lord. The phrase "locked-in-love" was coined
by Deaconess McLaughlin and the congregation pulled
together, locking in love, to give her the homegoing
services that she was deserving of.
On March 2005, God yet again showed his awesomeness, and
the ministry was moved from 1322 S. Pacific Avenue to its
current location at the Lighthouse Plaza, 300 Atlantic
Avenue in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
