Dr. D. S. L. Madden, Jr. is the anointed Shepherd of Resurrection Ministries in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Resurrection Ministries was founded in 2002, by Pastor Madden through a series of pain, trials and tribulations. Being fully restored and renewed by our Father, Pastor Madden's passion is to see every person take their rightful place as a son or daughter of the Kingdom of God. His desire is to lead and guide people into a personal relationship with our Father.
Dr. Madden’s walk as a man of God began in 1981, when he was licensed by his mentor, Bishop Michael A. Dickerson. His elevation in ministry continued, when he was ordained in 1991 by Dr. Horace Guyton and the Ministerial Council Court of Wilmington, Delaware.
Pastor Madden’s next milestone occurred in 1996, when he was called as the Pastor of Community Baptist Church in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Under his leadership, the membership grew from 100 members to well over 600 members within six years. Known for his fiery life changing messages, his soul-stirring prayers, and his dynamic in-depth teaching, Pastor Madden has brought forth growth to many people. He has licensed thirty sons and daughters in the ministry. He brought an energy and excitement to the church and the surrounding community like never before. Pastor Madden's thirst for biblical knowledge was enhanced by Lake Charles Bible College, Lake Charles, Louisiana, where he received his doctorate degree with a 4.0 grade point average.
Dr. Madden’s gifts and talents are not only in preaching and teaching; he is a talented musician who plays seven instruments. He has won awards such as Top Five Pianist in Pittsburgh, and Best Rearranger Gospel Music, Gospel Music Award, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He recorded an album “Jesus Makes Everything Alright”, and in 1998, he recorded the “Don’t You Give Up” CD. Pastor Madden also wrote, “Get Right Church, and Let’s Go Home” play, and produced a gospel program on WDAS AM radio from 2:00am-6:00am.
Pastor Madden is the Executive Assistant to Bishop Keith W. Reed of Progressive Holistic Ministries.
In spite of the all his blessings and accomplishments in his life, the center of his heart and the joy of his life comes from his family. His beautiful and devoted wife of fourteen years is Evangelist Tammey L. Madden, and their seventeen year old daughter, Taylor. Added to his blessings are Jennifer, Devon, Jocelyn and J’naia.
As a visionary, a shepherd, and a son of the Kingdom of God, Pastor Madden is a blessing to everyone who comes across his path. “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" are the words Pastor Madden lives by.
